ACAAM will once again serve as a national partner in the virtual 2022 Hill Day in conjunction with the Addiction Medicine Advocacy Conference on March 7-8.

ASAM Annual Conference March 31–April 3
Visit our booth, attend a workshop, or hear many of our members speak at the upcoming ASAM Conference. We’re happy to announce that ACAAM board member, Louis E. Baxter, MD, will be receiving the ASAM Training Directors Award. Jeanette Tetrault, MD FACP FASAM, ACAAM President, and Tim Brennan, MD MPH, ACAAM Vice President for Medical and Academic Affairs, will present on March 31 at 7:30 pm EST  in the Regency Ballroom (2nd floor). Immediately following their presentation at 8:30 pm EST, join ACAAM members in an informal dessert reception on the 3rd floor to connect and network with one another.

SNMA Annual Meeting - April 1317
ACAAM will be exhibiting at the Annual Medical Education Conference (AMEC) in Orlando, FL. The SNMA 2022 theme is "The Emergence: Achieving Purpose in an Era of Health Advocacy, Equity & Reform."

Rx Drug Abuse and Heroin Summit 2022 - April 18–21
ACAAM has partnered with ONDCP and HRSA on a session at the RX Drug Abuse and Heroin Summit on April 18-22, in Atlanta, GA. Join ACAAM's Tim Brennan, MD MPH, at the panel discussion, "Addiction Workforce Gaps: Combining Federal Resources and Academic Addiction Medicine to Promote Best Practices in Addiction Care" on Tuesday, April 19 at 11:15 am EST. This session will show participants the need and opportunity for growing the addiction workforce. A major expansion is underway via the historic Addiction Medicine Fellowship grant program administered by the Health Resources and Services Administration.
