Call for ACAAM Board of DirectorsNow Accepting ApplicationsDeadline for Applications: May 15, 2024We are seeking applications from ACAAM members as candidates for two Board of Directors Member-at-Large positions. ENGAGED MEMBERS, DIVERSE EXPERIENCES & PERSPECTIVES DESIREDEach year, several positions on the ACAAM board rotate – ensuring a variety of leaders in the field have an opportunity to serve and positively impact the organization. To be considered, review the criteria, and complete the application process on or before May 15, 2024. The Nominating Committee will review all applications and put forth a slate to the Board for a majority vote in June 2024. Members of the Board take office January 1, 2025 and serve for a period of three years with the option to be considered for a second term or officer position at the conclusion of the initial term. The Nominating Committee seeks diverse candidates who will help the organization think strategically about how it will meet the organization’s identified strategic priorities outlined in the Strategic Plan, including generating and utilizing resources and revenue effectively. Prior to completing the application, all candidates should review ACAAM's Strategic Plan and statement related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Board Roles and ResponsibilitiesACAAM’s Board of Directors is comprised of the following voting members: President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, Immediate Past President, and six members-at-large. Board functions include, but are not limited to, assessing the will of the membership; designing, recommending, and implementing policy; fundraising; fulfilling fiduciary, due diligence, and other responsibilities; and developing and maintaining the organizational structure of ACAAM, including oversight of The ACAAM Foundation. Members-at-LargeThe Members-at-Large help drive knowledge-based decisions related to the organization’s strategic priorities, while ensuring compliance with Board policies and procedures and all relevant legal and ethical standards, including policies and standards governing corporate relationships. Additionally, they serve as a liaison to at least one committee, task force, or advisory group, act as representatives or spokespersons for ACAAM at the President’s request, and perform other duties as directed by the Board of Directors or the President.
