Committees and Leadership
ACAAM's mission is supported through the leadership of volunteer committees, advisors, and subject matter experts who provide governance, expertise, and strategic guidance to the organization.
Board Committees
Awards Committee
Chair: Alexander Y. Walley, MD MSc
The Awards Committee will lead ACAAM’s Awards & Recognition program reviewing award nominees and providing a slate of recipients for Board approval, as well as development of an ACAAM Awards & Recognition plan to provide additional recognition opportunities.
Finance Committee
Chair: Elizabeth A. Samuels, MD MPH MHS
The Finance Committee is responsible for establishing a financial and auditing system that is consistent with current law and good accounting principles, preparing an annual budget for approval by the board, seeing that a certified audit or review is conducted annually, and supervising the maintenance of complete and correct records and books of all financial matters.
Nominating Committee
Chair: Alexander Y. Walley, MD MSc
The Nominating Committee is responsible for recommending a board rotation framework, creating, and implementing a process to select a slate of candidates for leadership positions within the organization.

Educational Advisors
Timothy K. Brennan, MD MPH and Claudia L.B. Moore, MD
Provides subject matter expertise and guidance in support of ACAAM's educational programs and resources.
Past Presidents Committee
The Past Presidents Committee will advise ACAAM’s president on issues and topics important to the organization and to the president.
