Carly Reisner, Executive Director

Carly began serving as Executive Director of ACAAM in September of 2024. She previously worked at Association Management Center (AMC) in a variety of roles, including CEO of the American Pain Society (APS) and Executive Director of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine (ABM). She also provided governance consultation and support for many other professional healthcare associations. Carly played an integral role in assessing and developing a business plan with ACAAM leaders board members that became the impetus for ACAAM launching its membership program. In addition, Carly provided staff leadership as ACAAM transitioned to AMC. Carly is a strategic thinker with a diverse background in the medical association management and nonprofit industry. She is also a passionate and skilled relationship-builder who creates fulfilling, productive teams, and partnerships.


Tim Brennan, MD MPHVice President for Medical and Academic Affairs

Dr. Brennan is passionate about expanding high-quality and financially sustainable academic addiction medicine fellowship training around the United States. He works with emerging and established fellowship programs from inception to accreditation. Additionally, Dr. Brennan is the Director of the Addiction Institute at Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospitals and the Program Director of the Fellowship in Addiction Medicine Program at the Icahn School of Medicine Mount Sinai in New York City. Dr. Brennan has spoken at state, national and international levels about addiction policy issues, particularly as related to young adults. He is the co-editor of Lippincott’s Essentials of Addiction Medicine and was appointed by Governor Cuomo to serve on the Medical Review Board at the New York State Justice Center.

Dr. Brennan is Board Certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and Board Certified in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine.


Dawn LevreauDirector of Operations, Programs, and Products

For more than 30 years Dawn has worked exclusively with physician membership organizations, serving primarily in roles specific to academic medicine. Immediately prior to joining ACAAM Dawn served as the Director of Workforce and Career Development for the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM), responsible for planning, implementation, and evaluation associated with workforce initiatives, HPM career development experiences, and academic resources and initiatives. Before AAHPM Dawn served in senior leadership roles at the Association for Academic Psychiatry and American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Since joining ACAAM, she has developed, implemented, and enhanced educational programs and products, created the infrastructures for the education portal and online member community, guided addiction medicine into the NRMP Medicine and Pediatric Specialties Match, and provided oversight for day-to-day operations, as well as short- and long-term planning. 


Natalie Glaid, Operations and Education Coordinator

Natalie holds a bachelor’s degree in public policy analysis, economic consulting, and sustainable business from Indiana University and a certificate in environmental, social, and governance strategy from Colorado University. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, traveling, and reading.
